It’s Time To Run Like A Mother, Ladies!

Hello all my fellow ladies! It’s that time of year again – time to dust off those running shoes (if you haven’t been using them throughout the rest of the year) and Run Like A Mother on Mother’s Day morning. I am so proud to have been a part of this event since it’s inception and I can’t believe how much it’s grown. Through the tireless work of founder – Megan Searfoss – this event is simply spectacular and is now hosted in numerous cities across the country. Once again, I’m looking forward to seeing you all at the Karla Murtaugh Motivation Station at both the start and finish lines, where your children and loved ones can make posters of encouragement for their Mom or friends participating in the race.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with the event, the mission of Run Like a Mother is to fuel a woman’s journey toward health and wellness, empower with education and training programs, inspire with communities, events and races, and enable through programs and partnerships.

Run Like A Mother strives to inspire women to incorporate running at every stage of their life. It is a community of women joined together by the power of running who share a desire to live healthy, balanced lives. Run Like A Mother offers support, motivation, inspiration and education. Through merchandising and a variety of communication touch points, the Run Like A Mother mission extends well beyond race day.

In Ridgefield – the original “Mother” route – the race starts at Yanity Gym and ends at Ballard Park on Main Street. It promises to be fast/flat with music at 3 locations. You’ll be cheered on as you cross the finish line and receive your finishers Mother’s Day Rose and a medal! Sign up here and come and join the fun!
